In the general Audi theme - my wife had an S5 which she'd taken in for a service. When it was due for collection she was stuck in work so I went. Imagine my surprise when presented with the nice sheet of paper with all the nice green and red boxes on it, that the boxes for tyres had been highlighted amber. The commentary basically said 6mm on all the tyres, recommended replacement, then a nice little attachment at the back costing out the tyres. This was a main dealer we'd been having discussions with along with AUDI UK about a faulty TTS, so the service manager knew me. His face was a picture when he walked around the corner after I'd asked to speak to him, I swear I could lip read him saying 'oh s*&t'. He couldn't give an answer as to why new tyres had been recommended and insisted it couldn't possibly be because they'd been expecting my wife to collect it. Cue another complaint to Audi UK and a bottle of champagne and a sorry letter. I suppose that's how they get to keep the franchise after building those shiny new sheds to sell cars...
