Dammit - went to check on my 4C order and ended up buying another piece of Italian metal! Need to check into Alcarholics Anoymous, I think. :(

They sound pokey, someone new at work had one then chopped it in for an Audi TT Quattro. I think she's a bit of a petrolhead too, can't wait till she sees the Maserati in April...

Great little city car for being in Europe but not sure I'd want one on our demanding and harsh roads

I'll only be using it for the 20 min motorway blast to work every day, so hopefully I will avoid most of our potholes!

Interesting to note the generally negative reaction above, esp. on an Italian car forum. Just as well that I didn't plump for the Maserati-styled version!

Keep in mind that these things are only 14K OTR, and a bit of fun. There are a range of Abarths (500, 595) with different set-ups, so they aren't all going to shake your fillings out.

Should I have bought a Hyundai instead? lol

I approve! Great little cars!

We hired a 500 (not an Abarth) on holiday last summer and it was great fun, perfect in town and for short journeys. I'd definitely have one if the wife wanted to change her 147 for one!

The Maserati-styled 500 sounds interesting!!

Fabulous little cars and perfect for everyday commutes, but with a bit of grunt to put a smile on your face. I drove the Ferrari 500 for a few days when my car was in for some work. Loved it.

Congratulations MS.

Certainly NOT.

Congratulations. I haven't driven one yet but even the bog-standard version which I use from our local car club is a ton of laughs. Horrible on the pot-holes, so if you do have a pot-hole free road you are a lucky man.
