A 944 Turbo is a proper classic, and a good investment. This is not a 944 Turbo.

Then again, it won’t be 944 Turbo money either, so maybe that makes it okay (somehow)?

Screw the originality when you are on opposite lock, making a good noise and having lots of fun

15k maybe, if the work is done to a high standard then helll yes.

At £15k I’d be looking at a good example of a 944 S2, such as the one Hashluck of this parish sold for me a few years ago. For a good turbo, you’re looking at £25k minimum.

Certainly something different and would certainly be Fun but for £15,000 I would rather have a very nice 4200 and a Good War Chest.
I still look around at what’s out there and come home to the ol’ 42 with few regrets…
I’m not sorry I didnt go for the GS either….Great looking cars ( I hate surf boards and think Stephenson should be flogged for that one!) but too complicated and fragile for my Luddite ham fist I’m afraid !
Manual. No skyhook. My biggest issue is parts…’cos still a bit fragile tbh !

I wondered if it might be held back, only making £15K, which , with fees, is the top end of its value ( to my mind anyway)
It surprises me folk spend a lot of money building a car that has such a limited market appeal. Longer term ownership too….Who knows what the circumstances however…

Not the best way to sell is it…?
Selling scruffy dorsnt do the cause any favors either.
Auction is the way to get out if you don’t want to be hanging around watching them plummet further I guess…

Very marmite , but I absolutely adore it , not something one could use as an everyday or even a weekend car to be practical , unless that is you have money to burn , I doubt very much whether body panels/ bumpers would be available .........so for that oops moment fault or non fault could present a whole host of problems ........which is what we were talking about the other day as in disposable cars with minimal shelf life

20 year old Maserati at an auction with the internet disinformation on a car you can’t try up the road = lower than normal selling price imho.
If your trying to sell a Maserati the would-be customer needs a test ride in it.

Did anyone see the results of the Anglia Car Auctions from Saturday?
There was 20 year old Mercs that were going through there barely making £3 grand. Not far off a price of a 4200 Maserati when new I’m guessing.

There was some cheap stuff at Anglia Auctions prices certainly lower than they have been. A B10 Alpina at £5.6k look good value even with 127k miles on it and a one owner 330 Touring at just under £3k
