Ok, now that the silly season is over

I am going to have some building work done at home at the end of the month which will result in my cosseted 4200CC Italian mistress, which is normally tucked up in a warm garage having to spend a couple of weeks on the drive in a cold, wet January/February! :0036:

I therefore require a cover which I would like to buy, rent or borrow for this period?

Any help, assistance or guidance would be very much appreciated!

Many thanks & kind regards

I bought one from Argos - c£20, its a soft vinyl with a fleecy underside, secures under car with elasticated hooks, large size completely engulfs my 3200

It does not look as pretty as a bespoke cover but will protect from builders dust and errant placed mugs of tea, providing the builder doesn't use it to cover the skip when you go out.

Hi Roger,

There's a company called Classic Additions who I've heard make excellent quality car covers both for indoor and outdoor use.

They're more expensive than some but from what people tell me they are worth the money. I'm toying with the idea of getting a custom soft indoor cover to stop my car getting dusty in the garage whilst the weathers bad.

Have a look on their website, you can use the search facility to see what's available for the 4200:

Hi Andrea, just digging up an old thread. I am looking for a 3200 GT car cover, can you please let me have a little more info on the 4200 custom car cover from your supplier?

poor covers can scratch paintwork, cause mould or blister paint - becarefull with covers, make sure that they are breathable and the car is clean before covering, I've heard some put cotton sheet on 1st

I had a OEM Maserati car cover, the satin blue with red piping and Logos on it.

I sold it to Loz when I sold my car it might be worth a PM to see if wants to sell it.

Needs to be a high quality cover, breathable, keeps rain out and stops perspiration gathering under it......plus soft underside........worth paying the extra for a recommended one!
