Enjoyable day today with some interesting cars. Lovely weather helped. 4 Maseratis on display but wide variety of other makes including some weird and wonderful ones. Beautiful Ferrari Daytona and 1938 Packard but the Carver was probably the oddest.

Agree, V8 Esprit is still a lovely looking car. I would suggest has aged better than most cars of its type of that era. And epic performance.

I had a 1990 G plate Turbo ......I bloody loved it. Such a great shape and bloody fast back then.......Would have one in my dream garage...one of the last V8's or Sport 350.

My dad had a S4s up to last year, sold to my brother in law (well sisters partner of 15 years still unmarried!).
I've had to drive it on many occasions, especially come service time/problems with Lotus specialist very local to me (Chris Foulds Motors)
Yes very fast, but not as fast as the Maser though.
Really, over the 8 years he owned it, loads of trouble, and yes usually serious .

Steering rack (twice)
Exhaust manifold gaskets
New Turbo
New flywheel (and clutch)
A/C problems
Battery drain problems
ALB sensor problems
Instruments falling out behind dash
Interior rear view mirror falling off
Gear shift cable problems

It was not maga mileage at around 50K either, if a V8 it would have been worse, according to many indies!

Used mine everyday for two years...It had 96k on the clock when I bought it and it never went wrong or let me down....perhaps that was because it was used day in day out...
