Just posting this for info.
I had a cel on Saturday, a mile into a potential 200 mile round trip. Everything seemed normal but being cautious I turned back and used the Alfa instead. My dealer checked the Maserati today on the SD tester and it indicated a possible flat battery - clearly not the case as I always keep my cars on CTEK conditioners. The cel was erased without apparent further problems.
A strange but not unusual tale!
BTW - Graypaul did this as a favour - worth a mention since many main dealers seem to get a bad press.

John...that was a close one....;)

Good to hear nothing of consequence.

How old is the battery, whilst a conditioner will prolong their life.....they do give up in the end!

Yes John agree, quite a few MDs do step up to the mark, but unfortunately you're much more likely to hear of poor service than good...................then again you're paying for it!!!!!

Sounds like something fooled the ECU into thinking it was the battery. I would suggest you clean up and check the battery leads, especially the earth. Also give the battery isolator switch a few turns to make sure its not sticking.

I recon it will just not happen again, sounds like one of those things.
