central locking stops after a couple of goes

Hi,

Just picked the car up from the garage and it seems to have got itself a new fault immediately. Pressing the key fob the central locking does work for 2/3 goes but sounds weak, it then stops working. I tried a reset for 20+ mins and the same thing it starts working again for 2/3 goes weakly then packs up.

I did have a solenoid problem on the drivers side which was replaced a couple of months ago but this feels different the locks appear to be working but without any vigour. When the locks aren't activating you can see the key fob is still working as it's activating the alarm fine.

Any thoughts gents ?

good question just been out to check. After the poor baby has had a rest she does the same, central locking works 2/3 times then nothing.

Using the key seems to lock the door but both doors need locking separately then even after waiting a couple of minutes when trying the handle the window comes down and inch !

And the magic answer is.......

Hmmm

How's your battery? I'd start with a reset (although I thought you'd mentioned you'd done that I can't see it)

If that makes no difference, charge the battery on your C-TEK. If that fails, it might still be the battery, but it seems less likely.

In that case I think you'd need a pro.

Repeated operating of the locks confuses the ECU and eventually it stops.

However the slow action is reminiscent of a failing solinod.
