Hi all,
I need to change the battery on my 3200GT as it's let me down over this winter. Yes, it was undriven for a week, maybe 10 days, but after a jump start and being driven an hour or I thought it would keep its charge. Currently it's a never heard of brand of unknown vintage, going to get a Yuasa YBX5096
The problem is that I don't have the radio codes for this car, it was never handed down, and therefore I am worried about unplugging the battery when I change it over. I am aware of this website (RadioCode.co.uk) but I would also need the tools required to remove the radio to get to the serial number.
So, I was thinking whether I could wire the batteries up as if jump starting it (in parallel) and somehow keep them connected to the car as I change the main connectors over, thus keeping the power on. Obviously trying to avoid smoke and explosions whilst doing it
Any other bright ideas, please?
This car cost me a bomb last year (two refurb shocks, wishbone, 4x tyres, and two repainted rear arches), hoping for a quieter and cheaper year!
Regards,
Allyp
