Yes, it's been for sale for a while at around £75k I think - it does look a good price and I'm surprised it's still for sale, expecially when being sold by a MD

Lovely beast.

Could never own a GT though without the backseats.

Need to justify its existence to the wifey lol

IMO, if you are going to buy one, buy it because you want to drive it not because of the money you might make. There are too many investors that don't take them out, or drive them like Sunday giffers when they do because of their increasing value.

Could a Strad, in the right spec, be considered an investment similar to a 360 or 355?

As Benny has said .... Buy it and drive it. ..... But yes I think it will be a good investment as long as you keep the miles down.

Ohh my next car will undoubtedly get dirty with trips to the continent etc. However, I also want it to be a smart decision as I had the opportunity to buy a prime 360 few years back for £35k. The guy who bought it sold it for £55k and only routinely serviced it. That is a choice I regret and with hindsight I'll try to avoid going forward. It is clear that Ferrari will hold out well and may apprecriate, but I'm not yet convinced that Masers, bar the classics, are anything the like.

All the figures I'm getting presently are far from suggesting Maserati is a brand when you avoid depreciation :worried1:

I think you're right. I don't see that enough people 'get' Maserati. Ferrari has managed to keep its image up and is seen as a much better bet for investment than Maserati or many other marques for that matter.

There are a few exceptions (MC12 and some of the '60s cars) but the rarity of our cars shows that people view them differently to Ferraris. I'm always surprised that the public seem to want to see a Ferrari at events rather than any Maserati of which there are usually fewer.

I love the brand and its history but given the next car will cost considerably more I want to lose as little as possible. If I can make money from it then brilliant and this is where I want to use my head rather than my heart.
