Well, as a general rule you never buy any car under ten years to make money as they are yet to bottom out depreciation wise.

The flip side of that when they get older is that convertibles then coupes are the most desirable and the market is materially hung up on mileage - mind read the posts on various F forums to see how many people feel 355, 360 & 430s are regularly clocked intra-MOT. Of course the other thing is people always forget to include the costs of dealer margin, servicing, insurance, tax and repairs when they tell you down the pub how brilliant their investment gains on cars are.

This whole 'classic' car thing is doing my head in as the cars are no longer being bought by enthusiasts, it's just speculative investors looking for the next big thing. Not a time to buy IMHO.

I agree these cars should be driven, I put 6,500 mile on mine in 6 months so she was far from a garage queen lol.

I don't agree with buying expensive models like Stradale or 430 to be garaged. I think they should do less miles as this will both add to the car's life and save the car from losing more longer term. If the car demand goes up for the car and supply is low, BINGO prices rise and money can be made. I'm simply a petrol head who loves to drive these cars but looking something more sought after.
