Actually, for a scot, I can't stand any of the water of life since I was sick with it at age 14.........even the smell is enough for the dry heave. :(

It's too much for me as well. The faintest, remotest whiff can be nice - like a distant cigar - but any more up close involvement is beyond what I can cope with.

Surely as a Scot you mean the dry boak?? Lol

Laphraoig? No thanks. Maybe to rub into an open wound as an antiseptic but not to put down the throat.
Macallan, Dalmore cigar malt, Balblair 1997 and a few more.......

I'm quite tempted and fascinated by the single handed Meistersingers, but that itch will have to wait for a little while to be itched. Tonights tipple of choice is a 15 y/o Balvenie single barrel.

Jura have some in the sale e.g. http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/collec...ger-n-02-am6607-croco-print-grey-watch-ms-154

A less expensive single hand one is https://www.botta-design.de/en/one-hand-watch-uno-carbon-automatic.html - I have a (slim) quartz one in black on black - not difficult to tell the time on the 12 hour version - I'd not be keen on the 24hr one as it would complicate time telling more and halve the precision with which one could do so.

Apart from a minor extravagance (two CWard ones - man maths means that half price means that I've essentially only bought one watch) no bigger ticket items until the spend on the GS has faded from memory!

It's a no3 with a black dial that I want. Just don't tell Greg they do one with a green dial to match his 3200. He'll never speak to me again.

Succumbed to a glass of Glenfiddich Solara too. I'm quite enjoying being off work for a few weeks and not having to rush up too early in the mornings. Got to stay fairly sensible though, as I'm supposed to be looking after the Mrs.
