Remember if you want the section where the coaches go you will need to say you over height with a roof box

OK, I'm going to propose we book up the Val Moret, or we're never going to make a decision. It still gives us options to head to Geneva / Chamonix for Wednesday (where I am given to understand that the French boys are mooring up overnight, or head straight into Italy for Wednesday if desired.

AdamN may be joining us, and personally I'd like to pick up Drewf en route.

Happy to book rooms now (as there are no cancellation charges)
1) Roger102
2) Mr Mrs CatamnV2
3) AdamN

If you want me to go ahead, please let me know, and what sort of room you'd like.

Cheers

You MUST eat there when you stay. Food is truly first rate... There's a page in English at the back of the menu, if that's a concern ;)

Susie and I are booked in for lunch next Saturday, on the drive back to the UK.

Troyes would be good for us too. Not sure if on the Monday or Tuesday Ferry departure yet. If Tuesday it would be a well placed stop over.

That looks a really good spot C, and an opportunity for photo's at the old track at Reims on the way there.

It is Miles - been using Val Moret for years. It's in a rural setting, but just 1 minute from a motorway junction, and has a great car park.

Thanks for that Drew. Might book it as my Monday night stop-over.

We expect a review, Miles :)

Haha, might be a bit late for you to do much about it if you're there the following night, but absolutely Cat, I'll let you know. Obviously there won't be much beer behind the bar by the time you arrive. :D

Sorry Sir have been away, then personal issues to deal with AGAIN! I was kinda against doing France yet again it's soooo tedious, that 5 hrs of no mans land in the middle but then if we're taking it easy we could find other things to do on the way to break up the journey and as it's still so up in the air I'm happy to go with you on this and let's get the ball rolling. 4 cars will be a manageable number to control.

Roger, what are your thoughts about routes?

This looks an OK place to stay at Troyes?

I'm thinking we should start a thread to get anyone else wanting this travel option to chip in?
