Cold Feet

The heaterin my 3200 woorks perfectly, the fan can be controlled and the temperture of the air, but not, so it seems the direction of the airflow.
Try as I might it seems to blow mainly on the windscreen, despite what postion the dial on the dash is in - very good for defrosting the windows and keeping them clear but on these cold days I do like a bit of warmth on the feet - mine where frozen after a 1 hour drive.
This has always been an issue in my car so its not like its just happened, any ideas how to fix it?

Could be the cable has become detached from the back of the control knob, or it's broken somewhere. If it does not come off screen at all, this is more likely than say a detached hose to the feet. If yours is not cable operated, it could be that a heater vent motor has stopped the flaps from working. Anyone else have any idea?

Some good points there - is the control cable or electronic? it does not feel very positive when turned compared to say my BMW - but then it is a Maserati not a BMW,
I have never noticed any blown fuses - would not even have looked for blown relays - do you know which ones they are?
Simple answer is buy thick socks and open window a smidge to allow hot air out

In the manual it appears there are actuators for the flaps, there are sensors, fuses and diodes etc. On the pictures posted above, the back of the centre console does not show pull cables, just electrical, so it has to be electrical I would think. There is a diagnostic connector for the air conditioning system and this might be the way to go for a quick fix. I could trawl through the wiring schematics, but this will take ages and I am up to the eyes in business stuff at the minute. It would appear that there are so many sources of power and sensors etc that it could be anything.
Sorry mate, diagnostic I think.

Are you sure the pipes leading to the foot vents are connected?...the side carpet is often removed [to acess the air-con overflow pipe] and its hard to getthe heater pipes to marry up to the opening when re-fitting.

This was exactly the issue with my car

It's full blast on the windscreen whatever you do with the controls as far as I know, but it could be pipes also.

Sounds like another job for the warmer weather - I cant open both doors fully in the garage.
In the meantime thicker socks on order.
