Morning All,

Hope you’re enjoying the weekend weather around the U.K.!

So I’ve noticed a leak on the garage floor appear which looks like coolant since it is gathering directly under the coolant tank (Driver’s side front)

It’s in with a local trusted garage for an MOT and couple of other jobs on Tuesday but wondered if from experience anyone knows what it’s most likely to be...a suspect hose?
Had a quick look and the tank looks intact,

I had a small weep from mine - the culprit was a simple O ring seal from a pipe that comes out the front of the engine... seal was cheap enough, but the front of the engine came off to get to it! That came to around £1200!

Hope yours is simpler than that!!!

Eye watering Matt!!
It is what it is at the end of the day and so was suspecting (hoping) for a seal or hose leak but as you bite it’s all about how possible it is to then get to it!

Cheers, Chris

Saw this and got me worried! Initially thought it was when you reversed on my drive the other week . Hopefully not; an easy & cheap fix I’m sure.

No Nigel...no worries there!

Fingers crossed and will get a better idea on Tuesday once we can get under it properly

On my 4.7 the sensor fitted on the left hand side was leaking
New seal sorted it. Cost pence.
Hose clips also looked poor and thin
Found two small drips and nipped them up

You’re spot on...
The hose clips are super thin and therefore too tight which was leading to the leak.

Leak was stopped with a thicker clip but damage to the hose has been done so need to order a replacement.

Hose 21 on the diagram...

Thanks Matt,

Luck of the draw on this one I guess...

I have the impression Maserati ownership can be a game of roulette sometimes, but still bloody good fun!

Common fault is the expansion tank that splits. Simple new part at £14 i believe
