Had a bit of a fright today, car was playing up this morning, it did not overheat but temp gauge crept past the vertical a few times - it was a 2 hour crawl into work through town though. Water level was fine - I checked before I left.
Coming back tonight temp gauge did the same thing a couple of times, then BANG! big cloud of steam from the bonnet louvre on the nearside and a big puddle of water underneath.
Hopefully a simple split hose but I cant see it from the top, the diagram on eurospares is pretty poor.
Anything else under there that might have split? I know the turbos are there somewhere, not sure if they are water cooled?
No oil (thankfully) only water.
Any pictures / advice gratefully received
