Well I suppose we would have to determine, if its a C tD or equivalent over here...then decide if all costs would be at the right level, then get it taken off register when finished, .....use for a few years...etc....easily get money back...!

Loz?!

That would be right up his street, shame about the location, and the location of the steering wheel!

Am sure yes......but not sure how suspicious, or easy it is to sell as a damaged repaired, you'd need to know the continental attitudes towards same.

Didn't someone post the price of a GT bonnet? £3K? Would need to be cheaper that that (buy it now price) to make it work unless you could source used parts, which must be like hens teeth.

Just spoke to a close associate who shipped one to China a few months back , and he paid £4900 , now thats probably the base price without and UK duty as it was for export , so seems that bonnets are that kind of money truly extortionate , he said the box nearly touched his ceiling it was that big heheh all aluminium

What About looking at pricing up the repairs to be carried out in the USA so you pay in $$ then ship it back to the UK once repaired?

Just a thought but does look an interesting project!

So $39K buy it now or about £26K. That spec with the steering in the right place and no scratches to the front end - around £53K? There is some room to maneuvre there, though there's no escaping ending up with a damage-repaired left-hooker with no warranty. Would I?..hmmm, no. Loz's estimate could easily double if there's anything unforeseen.
