If this is a true story, some questions need to be asked. Its a car. While its a lovely car, and a very expensive one, its a car. Repairable. The valuets family and friends are not repairable.

I woudnt be hugely surprised if the owner was even hugely fussed, depending on circumstances. I.e. he was just doing his job.

Yeah, I think this is the wrong end of the stick. It's in the Humour section.
Top hit in google is us. There's not a single news story of this happening. There's not even a story of a valet suiciding by any method.
I *really* doubt that people who have not seen death close and personal (i.e. just about all of us) *could* just stand around like the depiction if someone really was hanging themselves out of frame. We simply do not have the emotional tools for it.

In short, I suspect this was a low speed shunt, that Miles has tagged with a humorous (in the correct perspective) tagline.
