For sale, my much loved DB7 Vantage Volante with the TouchTronic transmission option. I planned on keeping this car indefinitely but stumbled across a DB9 I couldn't say no to so it has to go. 420bhp, 6.0 V12 with possibly the world's best sounding engine, especially with the top down! It is an AMOC car and has been treasured as such.

Car is in special order Ferrari Grigio Titanio with full claret leather interior and black AM overmats. The dash and door trim is in piano black and the dials were re-finished by Chiltern Aston Martin in parchment. The aluminium switchgear from the GT was also fitted making all in all a unique colourscheme with the dark red roof. The original claret leather tonneau to cover the folded roof is also included with its original bag.

The car is of an extremely high specification with heated seats, heated screens front and rear and air conditioning as standard. Every option box was ticked however with powerfold mirrors, the wind deflector and the highest Becker sound system that could be specified. It has the optional 19†Vantage wheels which were refurbed before Classic Le Mans last year and are still immaculate. I also had the brake callipers powder coated in red with silver Aston Martin script to add a special touch and there are enlarged side strakes with the words V12 Vantage engraved on them. Fitted is a bespoke sports exhaust created for this car with 3†tubing (originally 2â€) all the way through, 2 high flow sports cats (replacing the suffocating Aston system of 4 cats) and very little silencing! The car is loud and the V12 can be heard to its absolute maximum. That might not be everyone's taste so I am happy to have the centre section re-installed, currently it is just on a bypass as I enjoy the noise.

In my ownership I have had fitted a brand new Becker Cascade integrated satnav with single CD player and iPod connectivity. It sounds amazing and works perfectly. The nav has taken me across France as well as the UK, it's a very good system for its size.

The car has a full service history (including a visit to Works Service in 2005) with the last 2 services done in my ownership by Chiltern Aston www.chilternaston.co.uk who know the car inside out and are willing to talk to anyone about it I'm sure. It has never wanted for anything and therefore needs nothing done! It has a new Bosch battery as well to keep it happy in this cold weather and no problems so far. The all-important coils were done a year ago at Chiltern, all 12 plus all 12 spark plugs so that is one headache the next owner will avoid. Mileage just rolled over to 40,000, it was 32,000 when I bought it in September 2009, I have a few other cars but nothing has compared to driving an Aston, my first, and that's why I have put 8000 miles on it in just over a year!

If I am to be critical, the bonnet has a few stonechips and the roof has been patched (also in dark red) on the edges where the mechanism rubs when it's raised and lowered. This is common on DB7s and I didn't even notice it until it was pointed out to me.

The car is going to Chiltern tomorrow (11/01) to have a few bits and bobs tidied up and will be ready to go in the next couple of days. I need a quick sale as I have placed a deposit on the DB9 so the price is very attractive for a car of this quality. This is the best out there. Test drives could be arranged if you travelled there I would imagine otherwise the usual caveat of having full insurance to drive it will be required.

Please contact me on 07590 457776 for more details or if you want to run through the service history etc. PM will also work, or email lewisj_evans (at) hotmail.com.

My much loved 4200 will also be going to fund the DB9, I hope they're both worth it...

Cheers chaps - fingers crossed, I'd hate to let it go to a dealer for buttons...

just seen the advert Lewis, great advert, superb description, i am sure it will attract interest and you only want 25K for it, you should sell it no problem.
