The end of certain brands and their reps....Alfa diesels are now the best engines to have on them....says it all as the petrols are not economical and not fast....

I remember going to the London Motor Show when the 156 was launched. The V6 engine was stunning.

Thought as much...What is wrong with the world...

People have not worked out that if you keep your car five years rather than three then you could have a materially nicer car.

How many times have friends said they are buying a new car to save money on fuel? Spend another £20-30k to save £1000 pa on fuel. Madness!

Do you think it will be a problem...The GT was one of the winners for depreciation according to the stats....The Ghibli being a 50k plus car has less way to fall...I think it could be a winner.....But what do I know.

The GS is currently holding it's price well and the GT. Until the Ghibli get's going who knows, if it's good it will hold it's price, if not.....??

£50k+ saloons don't normally do well on the used market. Maserati will be worth more (brand) or less (worries) IMHO. Sorry to be unhelpful.

PS The GranTurismo has done a lot better than forecast.

Ultimately its all about supply and demand....big demand for it as a 2nd hand saloon prices stay high......though who knows how Maserati through its MDs can skew the market, as some suggested with GTs up to 3 yrs old

I suppose you could be looking at a 3 year old car with average miles fetching around half price..!!

I feel the Ghibli will fair very well in the first 18 months, due to supply and demand that Frank has pointed out.

If you buy new for say £52k, hold it an sell in the Spring 2015 (15 months) you should be looking at £40k. Hold it longer and the supply will increase and the price will fall.

Lets look back in Spring 2015 and see how wrong I was!!!!
