hi guys - update

looking at september at GTechniq but am just waiting for confirmation on dates, as soon as I get these then will let you know. if it looks like we won't get in September then I'll arrange this at mine but will still see what we can get on products :)

Rossyl - are you not free in Sept ?
Jerkmoans - will look to work around your dates, if not we can arrange another day with you and Rossyl

September I am generally free. Except for 15 and 21 September. Also, every saturday till the end of the year I will spend the morning at my house chatting to builders on house renovation progress (in North London). So I can't do early Saturday starts.

If that causes issues, please don't let me hold you guys up.

hi guys - update from my end

GTechniq sadly aren't about to provide any time at the moment but have offered if we have any meets, they would be happy to pop down (obviously sell some of the products - which I will get a discount applied for us(

so looks like we will do this at mine but will need to split this up a little (groups of 2 or 3) unless anyone has an area that will hold 7 supercars :) and access to electric and water

1 - Jerkmoans
2 - Rossyl
3 - MAF260
4 - Safrane (depending on the date)
5 - Brendan (depending on the date)
6 - Roger
7 - SachaP

I can do dates in September or if some can not make it then could do some dates in October

Saturday
14th Sept (maybe)
21st Sept
28st Sept
5th Oct
12th Oct
19th Oct

maybe a little OCD of me but was watching some of you at Bruntingthorpe wiping parts of your cars down - wanted to jump in and help....

just one little point - with the cloth best to fold these in half and half again and always have the cloth flat against the panel or glass (or better still - if soft paint is to fold the cloth edges into the centre), a DON't is not to have a fold or crease in the cloth that is on the panel, don't put pressure on the cloth and use only straight lines

I CAN do:
14 September (leaving London after 1pm)
28 September (leaving London after 1pm)
5 October (leaving London after 1pm)

I don't want to hold anyone up so go ahead without me.

For the remainder of this year I will need to go to North London every Saturday to check on building works progress.

I can make any of those dates. It is my birthday at the end of October so I suspect I may be receiving my very own machine polisher. Any recommendations? Or would that be opening a can of worms?

IMO if you've not done much detailing before a DA is the best option, can't too much damage with them unless you drop it on the car.

I would be up for a Sunday morning - but obviously depends on when EnzoMC is free and when works best for him.

Absolutely, goes without saying, extremely thankful to EnzoMC for all this!

Perhaps if this is done in two sessions one could be on a Saturday and the other on a Sunday?

Just a thought?

as its your guys - I will give up my Pond cleaning Sunday - sure the sharks won't mind :)

so is everyone up for a Sunday ? or are we looking at Saturday and Sunday ?

it sounds like you want to keep this short and only in the morning - which could work out better

take it no one has a drive and area to hold us all ? we'll need to split this up - can we workout who free for Saturday and whos for Sunday and which dates, so we can work out groups ?

I have an area at my house that could fit 4/5 cars, more if the neighbours are OK with parking across their acess as long as you can move the car out of the way.

In Bristol just 2 miles from the M4

Just spent the afternoon machine polishing parts of the spyder. I did both sides as they were starting to look a little dull (not as shiney as the rest). It came up very well and I finished the whole car off with 4 coats of Harley's. Looking good!

Needless to say a Sunday morning would be best for me if that's ok?

Many thanks

Sundays are good for me too. I know a chap who owns a garage in Wellingborough who may be willing to allow us to use his premises. It has a decent sized customer parking area. Not sure he could open up for us on a Sunday, and hence unlikely we would have access to mains electricity. Would that put a kibosh on proceedings? Alternatively, he is open for business on Saturday mornings...shall I ask him if he is willing to help out?

In case of interest, my mechanic friend in Wellingborough has confirmed that a group of us can use his premises on a Saturday morning to do a detailing demonstration. He can make indoor workshop space available for us to work around one car, but there is plenty of parking available outside too.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Yes, power/water not a problem. How long will we need, and can we confirm numbers again please, so I can let Brian know. Thanks.
