Diagnostic report Gransport

Ok so I managed to get a full diagnostics report on the GS.

The suspension light has been caused by the driver side rear solenoid failing.

I also have a failed CAT right bank.

The car is currently on 58k miles and I suspect it won't be long before some of the other dampers fail.

Is there a good alternative suspension option anyone has installed on the GS over the prospect of replacing all 4 shocks with OEM?

Will also need to look at CAT replacement so any advice on this would also be appreciated as I know it's going to be expensive either way!

Cheers

There is a setup from FD. They also offer a plug that defeats the suspension light from not having the skyhook anymore.

2nd hand skyhook shocks do seem to go pretty cheap as well. But condition is probably a bit of a **** shoot?

Thanks, would be interested to hear from anyone running the FD set up.

Not really looking at used, you never know how long they will last and cost difference is not always that much.

Ok so late response but just got round to removing the suspension ECU and the lights have disappeared.

Does this point to the ECU over the strut itself or would I still need to plug and play a spare unit to eliminate it as the problem?

Thanks

No, removing the ECU has just removed to signal to the fault indication. The actual fault will need to be diagnosed with the ECU plugged in. Removing the ECU was a test for others who wanted to removal Skyhook completely and shows all you need to do is remove the ECU and replace the struts for standard on early models.
