Dusk sensor?

Anyone know where the sensor is that doesn't let the dash lights come on when you turn the sidelights on if its not actually completely dark?
I am fed up with no instrument lights on gloomy days when you have the lights on- Can it be taped over??!!!

It's somewhere in the dark area in front of the driving mirror.

You can adjust the sensitivity somewhere in the config settings.

Yes, I found that mine wasn't sensitive enough and it was on the lowest of the 4 settings. Try adjusting it first before resorting to the roll of tape!

The user manual is very thorough and well worth a read - there are so many settings you can control on the GT
