Surprised that they have not done this before - the French have always insisted you accompany them the the cash machine to pay on the spot or the take your car until you do.

Besides it might minimise the number of EU cars & lorries, especially the Eastern ones, running around on our roads without insurance or licenses.

You just roll along...I still made Warwickshire to Cannes in 13 hours last week...
It was fairly brisk though Switzerland but not over ther top... (there not in the EU by the way)

The worst bit is the 3 hours or so down to Dover!
