please help me with the following error codes;

P1225
P1B00
P0711
P0225

I have owned this car for 4 months and yet to have a proper drive in it without the engine light coming and then pull over to wipe the codes for the engine light to come 15 mins later. Theres seems to be restricted power and sometime sit doesn't get over 4000rpm.

To date I have the cam belt changed, crank sensor, gearbox service, ac compressor repaired. I was assured the car was ok to drive but it isn't after 2 Maserati specialists have looked at it. The one specialist I want to use is fully booked after each time I make contact for at least 3 months.

Please suggest any remedies....please

I'm assuming it's a 3200 auto? The knocking may just be the torque convertor, widely reported.

225 error is typically throttle body related. It can also be related to the pedal sensor, but more often the throttle body. The restricted power is because the car is in "limp home mode" and this only allow very limited engine use. Mike can look at this I also supply refurbished throttle bodies. If it's an original throttle body the rotary sensors wear and these generally just get worse and worse and you get what you are describing where it only runs for a short period and throws an error again. you probably need to either replace the throttle body or get yours rebuilt to fix this. its not too painful and your car will be much nicer to you after this. Note the original pedal sensors have similar technology and also wear out and cause similar sorts of problems and again there is a fix at hand as I make replacements that don't wear out.
Take a deep breath and work your way through it logically it will come right in the end.

I'm assuming the specialist the OP wants to use, that's booked up 3 months each time he enquires, is Mike at the Shed, he does seem particularly busy at the moment, tbh the problems could be fairly easily remedied with a DavyDavy pedal pot and a DavyDavy or Davy Askew rebuilt throttle body.

Maserati 3200 Manual MY2000

I wonder if anyone can help!

I had been enjoying motoring after going through the car replaced all of the necessary things for it to work faultlessly for well over a year. Last year I did fewer miles – only around 700 – and latterly it suffered a misfire/ASR flashing and reigning-in the power in 3rd gear upwards.

Using the UNIDIAG2000 software I kept getting P1225 and P0225. In the end I duly purchased a new TPS from the Maserati Shed. (The wiring to the TPS has not been fiddled with, Mike confirmed it was as it should be with two free-floating wires.)

TPS was fitted with voltages checked and just about spot on. All was well-ish for a while, but didn’t get many miles in by this point. ASR light gone, so that’s a start.

I then got P0221 which turned out to be a failed ETB ECU (not making the right noises when switched on) which went back to Mike for replacement and general refresh.

For a while it worked well, but now I am getting P0225 and 0x1225, mostly just 0x1225. It resets, but the CEL comes back either quickly or after a short drive. The car drives really badly, no power and a big flat spot approaching 3000 revs and barely wants to go up from that – like stuck turbos, but not! Sometimes I get no response from the throttle when it’s just been started, a reset solves that but it’s really strange!

MOT is coming up and I have run out of time to investigate, hence this please into the depths of the internet!

Anybody thoughts/directions?
Thanks in advance
