On Saturday I discovered that my Biturbo Spyder had developed an enormous fuel leak which had me frantically pushing the car out of the garage in case it caused a fire.
Turns out the fuel pipes had split at the filter inside the air filter box and on further inspection the whole tubing was in a dreadful state. I have NEVER used E10 so this must have been the effects of E5. Now the fuel lines have been replaced I’m hoping E5 will be okay but I use ethanol free Esso whenever available.
It is a worry. If I’d been on the Eurotunnel it would probably have caused quite an incident.
