Exhaust Modification for 222SR?

Hi guys,

I am just wondering if it is worth doing any exhaust modifications to my 222SR or if these engines open up much? Mine is an Auto and sounds pretty nice, but wasn't sure with any exhaust work I could get a little more Rumble coming from it. The Davide Cironi YouTube video on the Bi-Turbo sounds amazing, wasnt sure I could get that out of my 222?

Thanks in advance:)

A small V6 with turbos is never going to sound fabulous like the NA Maser V8 engine. I’d say don’t bother, and I’ve left my biturbo standard. Put you could take the innards out of your back boxes and see how it sounds.

My 2.0 Italian markket BiTurbo had an Ansa back box on it, which was cool in an old school Ferrari GTO kind of way. Sounded nice.

You can get an amazing sound in your Biturbo with the 2,8 18v engine. Just copy the first Biturbo exhaust. One muffler at the rear with two pipes in and two out. Left pipe 1 meter longer than the other. Remove the cat and Y pipe from the turbos. No center muffler.

Like this! Might need to re-program the ECUs when you remove the catalyzer, otherwise the engine will run too rich air/fuel mixture.
