I know there's been some discussion on this in the past and its never really been decided on. My valves were sticking again after a couple of years and before going the whole hog and cutting them out, I thought I'd give freeing them up again another go. I went with this stuff and its worked really well.
I picked it up from Screwfix for £5. I was hesitant to try spray copper grease in the past because I just assumed it would be too thick, but this sprays like an aerosol. Its a rattle can so you have to give it a good shake to get the copper bits mixed up, but it has loosened my valves like I didn't manage before even when I was using a gas torch and all sorts of sprays like WD40, etc.
I've done a really bad pic of the can but it works for temps between -18 and 1100 C, so should withstand the heat and keep on lubricating.
