There is the facility within the SD software to record the f1 pump oil refill. I assume it's this your garage is referring to?

Hello,
I just received my relay, 50 amps. It is different from mine a 30 amp ref: Tyco V23134-B57-X203

How can this new relay?

Thank you in advance,

Thierry.....there may be an issue re newer heavier duty ( 50 versus 30amp) relay being matched with the up-dated F1 pump....do double check

I would have no problem just replacing the motor.
Its a sealed system, with non contact lobes in the pump, so nothing to wear.
To make it viable, can you buy just the motor in the UK though?

Honestly I don't think you can. The only real saving I suspect would be labour, no need to remove the hydraulic pipes and replace the fluid. Probably something people would be more happy to do DIY?

Tempted to do it myself with the motor only method, but highly suspect I will just wait until my appointment with the garage to replace the whole caboodle. Also means it gets fresh fluid.

I might be wrong, but I think to have to remove the whole pump on the 4200/GS anyway, no room just to remove the motor.
So the saving would be just having to buy the motor.
They have sourced the motor only in the US....that came from Europe....should be able to buy it even cheaper here in theory!

Ah that's interesting, on both the removal and parts availability front.

I do wonder how much cheaper it would really be, it seems that you can get just the bushes and fix the motor yourself but given the hassle. I have just got an Alfa selespeed pump here which was about £220, ready for fitting.

There was a post on another place indicating it's a bog standard Denso motor, and one guy had it fixed (I think it was the brushes that had actually given up) for about USD40

Of course, it's still the labour but it doesn't look *that* beyond DIY.

Interestingly it seems the Ferrari guys just replace the motor part of the entire unit

I will still get the whole thing replaced, but I suspect this could be useful.

I have a spare brand new motor (will fit the 360, early QPs and the 4200 amongst others), which I bought from the States. Happy to sell it on if I can recover what I paid. Drop me a PM and I'll send further details inc part numbers, pictures of said item and the invoice.

Cheers, Dhanj
