Can't see the point of the Maserati and Ferrari badge versions just badge snobbery IMO, a nicely sorted 595 or 695 will deliver all the fun factor with a smaller hit on the wallet.

Next we will be discussing the Aston Martin Cygnet and Toyota IQ

You're right but at least the Toyota IQ has the look of an Aston Martin and has, I believe, passed through the Aston factory.
The Abarth Maserati edition doesn't even look like a Maserati, they could have changed the front at least to look like a Strad.

Forget the 500 and get a 595 and job done
Loads around and for as little as 5k

Great little cars…..the Panda 100hp I had was also great to drive

I'm currently in the process of buying a 595 , the 144 bhp one but from what I read they're all the same engine, I've decided a motorhome, 2 smart cars, a MX5 and a range rover is just a bit too much so 2 of the smarts and the MX5 will be going over the next few weeks

...but the MX-5 is so much fun to toss around!

sent the deposit now, picking it up on saturday, it's got a towbar , might buy a caravan for a laugh
Well, a few weeks in and

I love it, it came with a forge induction kit which has been removed, a bit baseball cap on backwards for me

It's nowhere near as comfortable as the GR Yaris was, seats are terrible, far too high, you feel like you're sitting on it rather than in it, the pedals are too close together for Size 11 boots, needs ballerina slippers, by accident I hit the clutch and the brake, and the brake and the gas on the first day

The brake and the gas made a lot of noise, the clutch and the brake made the guy behind **** himself

I'm wondering whether it's been chipped because it's really fast, much faster than I think 145bhp should be

Needs a louder exhaust, there's a nice burble on cold tickover but it evaporates when it's warmed up

There easy to mod, A4Alfa in Aylesbury does an upgrade package for around 4k fitted. Upgrades engine, exhaust, brakes and suspension to around 200bhp might be a bit more but without all the go faster tat they handle and go like stink. There are further mods available his demonstrator is over 250bhp and he has customers with cars over 300bhp but they tend to be regulars as that's pushing the components to the limit

there won't be any 4k spends going on , maybe a louder exhaust as this one looks like it's on the way out anyway , there seem to be plenty of used parts on the forums so I think upgrading it might be fairly cheap

I considered this exhaust when I had a 595 Turismo:

Had that on mine, for a while, loud. For race use welded tag, so swap it when mot time.

That might be a bit too loud, there are valved options, there's also these guys in Macclesfield who come highly recommended

Full set of koni shocks seems to be about £570 so that's probably all I'll do to it

Circa £1000 and it'll sound better and not be as crashy on the really potholed roads in the UK hopefully

I've been using the abarth a bit more, I've not looked but I'm almost certain it's been tuned because it's stupid fast, put your foot down at 40 and the torque steer is interesting but it's straight up to 80+ in seconds

I'm giggling like a teenage girl when I boot it, Mrs Wack not so much :D
