I've been wobbling and dithering for a couple of years now about whether to keep the 4200 or not. However, I have decided that it should be sold now as just not getting much if any opportunity to drive it. I've had it for just over 7 years and the last couple of years the mileage has really dropped off. Of course Covid didn't help but we are now working through some family health issues so I can't realistically see this changing any time soon. Part of the reason I haven't been on here so much too. Of course it doesn't cost much to run or keep if you don't use it much but it seems crazy for it to sit there so much not being enjoyed.
Many know the car and have seen it at shows/events over the years. It is one of the best I know out there and spent its life under a cover in a dehumidified garage when not in use and never seen a winter. Voicey has seen it several times the last few years and can vouch for it sp is happy to do me a report/PPI to anyone interested as there is little to nothing wrong with it or needing doing. It is not far off a new car really.
Just ticked over only 15k miles and a very late 2007/07 car. I think it has been serviced every year since new regardless of mileage so 15 or 16 services. A real pampered garage queen.
I guess my issue is where and how to sell it. It will need little to no prep to retail at a dealer but doesn't seem to make sense to sell retail at a dealer I don't think. I guess it depends but doesn't much risk buying a car so well looked after with so low miles I wouldn't have thought compared to a much higher miler or less looked after car.
I might be interested in a swap as sold my work Outlander and looking for something like a Q7 for a family do it all daily kind of thing. Doesn't affect selling the 4200 of course and an unlikely swap I would suggest. Bought a cheap Cayenne recently to run around in for work and have been very impressed with it for the money. Great VFM.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas or how or where might be best to sell my 4200? Also what kind of price I should expect to sell it for in the current market?
