The biggest problem with UK cars is the corossion on the metal parts from winter weather.
Those banjo bolts all rusted and would have been annodised when new.
Try and keep them clean.
Easier said than done

Corrosion should not really effect a banjo joint, seal will be on the copper washers, so will be mainly cosmetic.
