What car have tested the diesel, gave it 3 stars and wrote this misleading piece of drivel...

The switch from front- to rear-wheel drive allows the car to sit more comfortably next to executive saloon rivals, such as the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class than the old 159 did,
Can someone lend me 60k as I think this car ticks all my boxes
Can take the little one out and about, I can have my driving fun and I can be let into Ace
I'd like a SportWagon version, but seems the SUV is now the larger 5 door body of choice and there will not be a Giulia SW
I was interested in replacing my (nearly 5 yr old) Giulietta with a 2.0 turbo Giulia but although they havent released prices for petrol yet it looks like a reasonable spec will be over £30k.... Far too expensive i reckon compared to being able to get a 2.0t XE Jag in full leather for £26k....
I would have thought both cars should be similar price and no way could i justify extra £5k for Alfa
Just my inital thoughts....
I think the only reason you'd buy a new Petrol Ghibli over the Alfa is the customer sales and service experience. The Alfa does kind of kill the Petrol Ghibli in my view. Just shows that Maserati should stick at making elegant GT cars.
Id wait and see until the prices come out. Isnt the XE similarly priced to the BM 3? I cant imagine the Alfa being any more..

There is nothing about this car I don't like. The only issue may be that the quality of Alfa dealers is patchy. .
