With the temperature dropping and generally damper conditions I decided to get the winter wheels/tyre I purchased fitted. The winter tyres are 285 v 295 but its quite noticeable how much less they fill the arches..... Forgot to get black wheel bolts not sure if I will bother changing them now, although the TPMS valves were brought programmed for the car, so far the car has not detected them despite several resets of the system, any tips?

Sorry, no idea on the TPMS I'm afraid.

I have to say though, those black wheels really suit your car - very nice.

Have you had any issues with the legality of the position of your front number plate by the way?

I was looking forward to seeing the Black wheels on the car, but was slightly disappointed that they were noticeably smaller....

I have passed the Police several times and they have not stopped me, the other day a traffic car did a 360 on an island to follow me and I was waiting for him to pull me over, next thing the Blues lights went on and he did a u turn back and sped off.....

I put winter on as well but but just the same wheels so can't help on the TPMS I am afraid. Mine are not going on for another three weeks or so as I have found that low temperature grip (i.e. Under 10c) is far better on summer tyres having switched from P Zeros to Sport Contacts.

PS Appreciate that the Stradale runs a more aggressive summer tyre hence the need to switch earlier.

On my journey to work this morning the car was noticeably more 'sure footed' on the winter tyres....

The TPMS system is still not working, on some previous cars they can take a while to learn the new sensors, not sure if thats the case with Maserati?

The winter wheels came without TPMS sensors fitted so I purchased a set from TPMS warehouse who supposedly programmed them for the car?

Is your TPMS warning on the button? You've done the learn process I think? It can take about 20 minutes, I understand. Mine never took that long, though.

I have done what it says in the manual, basically you press the mode switch until you get the TPMS view is displayed which stats press the '+' button until the TPMS learning process is activated, with the ignition on but not with the engine running.

Done this several times and driven the car for about 25 minutes this morning and still not detected any of the new TPMS valves.....

You could pick up some spacers from Hills or FD to fill out the arches more on those wheels. I have them and have been considering it. I don't think my car has TPMS although the menu is there. Is is possible that yours is the same? Your car is a later 4 seater and as per all things Maserati, no two are the same, but worth checking perhaps? Did you see the readout on the summer wheels?

Thanks for that

And do you mean that the black wheels are narrower than your silver wheels? I was under the impression that the physical wheel width of Strad wheels were the same?

I brought wheels from someone else who had a Stradale but he never fitted them, so I do not know definitely that the wheels are the same width, the tyres on summer wheels were 295/35/20 and the winter ones are 285/35/20 on the rears, the offset looks the same, may be the colour of the wheels also makes then look smaller?

The summer wheels displayed the tyre pressures quite accurately and I checked the pressures regularly using the system, so definitely an issue with the winter wheels sensors......

Good idea, I may look at some spacers.

Possibly, black is a slimming colour after all, according to women when they're buying a dress

Different from the process on my GT, but sounds about right

I was under the impression that the dashboard "press + to recalibrate" function was to just set the default pressure you wanted.

and 295? stock is 285 35 20 unless the stradale is different...

I may have to re-read my manual. I have no idea about this function.

I picked up the car new and it came on PZERO Corsa 295/35 on the rear and 255/35 on the front.

The process described is the one in the Stradale manual and seems to be doing something, just doesn't find the new valves, maybe they have been programmed incorrectly.....

That's not listed in the (online) manual so maybe the Strad is different? Re-calibration is by the roof button:

The button layout on mine is different to the one in the picture, mine are in one line by the light switch, when you follow the process the message displayed is the same as shown in the diagram you found, thanks for looking.

I think my next step will be to contact the TPMS warehouse and check they sent me the right valves............

De nada. The buttons on there are the US version. No idea why they are different. Mine are in a line as well :)

Do you have a roof button?

Just looked and only two buttons, which I think are connected to the alarm?

Indeed they are the correct Stradale tyres, a tad wider on the back than the GTS.

The dash layout by the driver's window is different on LHD to RHD for some reason. On UK cars, TPMS is controlled via the buttons by the driver's window not the overhead console as it was on the QPV.
