How did that happen I never get flat batteries!!
I *think* I might have left the boot open with light on, over two days or so, cos as soon as I shut the boot, alarm went off, that's not normal. I opened the boot to go the the shop for some Leffe cos it's my birthday!
Anyway, jumped into car, click, no display, needless jumping, flat battery. It was a right tw@t to get out, but I managed it, then discovered my charger is broken, start/boost switch doesn't feel right, borrowed next doors and it's so freaking old I'm not sure I fancy using it, I tried it, shows 0 on amps, indicating full charge, but I'm not sure. It's a Sealey 140 with three switches, but be 25 years old, rusty and bashed. I turned it off. So new charger tomorrow. At least it gives me chance to fit an isolator for resets, but I'm not convinces there's enough room for it to fit.
Did that, asked daughter's BF to move his car so I could get the Mrs' Pug out, his won't start. Spins enthusiastically bit engine does fire. Pushed it off drive, just Pug out, it's started fine, shoved Dotchka's BF's car in garage. For tomorrow that one.
Next door then tells me his Karcher pressure wash just picked in and yesterday his lawnmower stopped working. Strange goings on...
Any, battery in my car looks very new, Monbat P, I understand they have a lifetimes guarantee so I might look into that tomorrow. Also a trip to Halfords I think as its closing down, might be bargains afoot. Failing that I'll get one of the those CTEK things.
Happy Birthday me.
