Fluorescent blue drips...

I've noticed on my lovely new tiled garage floor a few drips of fluorescent blue liquid after the car has been parked up. First time was a week or so back and its there every time after I've parked up - only perhaps 5 or 6 drops - so something appears to be leaking. Coolant or...? Any thoughts? And, is it likely to be serious or can it wait 5 weeks until it goes in for a service??

That's what I thought it might be. If I top it up a bit, should it be ok (until the service) - only driving it a couple of times a week...?

The front under tray is great at masking leaks by giving the drips somewhere to land where you won't spot them. Don't assume that just because you can only see a few drops of anything that a leak is minor. I'd check the levels and get it across to a garage for a quick once-over anyway.

Good advice, ta.

As to the colour - there is no universal standard e.g. blue is bad, red is good or anything like that. Different producers use different colours, so you have to look at the grading or quality (apparently). For note, I've got blue in mine - but its quite meaningless. That said, regardless of colour, I'm not particularly tempted to taste it! Checked the levels late yesterday and its on minimum, so I'll top it up and keep an eye on it over the next few weeks...

Certainly if a dry sump engine get it checked out asap as it could cause major grief like what I repaired on my 04 4200.

To taste it you only need to tap a wet finger on the front top of your tongue...and spit violently afterwards!!!
