imo england did not embarrass themselves in either game, they were just beaten by better teams on the day who wanted the results more...........re root and branch change, it will never happen. the PL, as are most top leagues in europe, is too powerful and ruled by the lure of the pound from TV so the present influx of foreign players will continue as short term fixes instead of real youth development programmes being the norm for any team other than those lower down the pecking order who cannot afford to bring in players.
re england's next game, you are out so look to the future and remove the "old guard" (rooney, gerard etc) from the line up and give the youngsters a starting cap with a mind on practice for the french euro qualifiers later this year. the result does not matter now.

This was always going to be a tough year but we did right to take the youngsters. I would have gone further and left out Gerard and Rooney as well. We need to build for the future and there is some talent in those youngsters and now they have experience of playing with the big boys which will only help in the future.

We weren't outclassed just beaten by beater teams on the day.

I now can watch the rest of the competition as neutral outsider and just watch the football, looking forward to it as I think it could be quite interesting.

Some of my LFC supporting friends are saying that they should cash in on Suarez but if he gets a ban surely his price with drop considerably. Prison should sort him out but no soap on a rope for him.
