Having lived through 2 Aussie summers with an Avorio dash, I would suggest one early change if you buy it.
The glare and reflections even at night is annoying.
Take it to an upholsterer and get them to cover the dash in black. It will look good as there are so many black items already in the cabin. I've just had mine done but it isn't back together yet.

G'day Bruce, Thank you for your wise advice. I did the 'ring around' as you suggested. Bang bullseye success on my third call !!! Maranello Motorsport care for 'TROFE0'. I spoke with Ryan the Service Manager and he confirmed he is familiar with TROFE0 and is willing to speak to me further after he consults its service records to refresh his memory. Cheers mate, Ron

perhaps that is where I saw it!

Today I contacted the Carsales office. Despite having corresponded with the owner via the Carsales email seller contact system, 10 times, I have not been contacted by the owner. I have no idea why. I had become concerned about the integrity and legitimacy of the listing and I also thought the email address registered at Carsales by the owner may be incorrect.

Upon contacting Carsales I was informed the owner's email address was indeed correct and he has been replying to the emails of others. WTF? Cheers, Ron

Unbelievable! Is this some form of discrimination or did the first responder claim some exclusive rights?
Or maybe you do not live in the right suburb or attended the right school?

G'day Bruce. The car was listed on Carsales on Sunday 5th June, 2016. I contacted the seller within 45 minutes of its listing requesting to see the car. I have attempted to contact the seller another 9 times since its listing. IMHO there hasn't been a car for sale in Australia for almost a year of a similar calibre and to my ideal specification. Maranello Motorsport service records note the seller's address, but unfortunately not his phone number.

The car has been for sale for approximately 6 weeks now. I have always intended on engaging Maranello Motorsport to conduct a PPI on a prospective purchase (if it's a Melbourne car). Should the PPI result in a positive outcome this GranSport would have been mine 5 weeks ago. I'll say it again. WTF? Cheers, Ron

Perhaps your email is getting spamtrapped at his end?

Can Carsales get in touch on your behalf?

If the ad has a postcode and it's not too far from you, try door stepping the seller maybe? A bit extreme I know but if it's the car for you, you need to do all you can to secure it

G'day Stuart, The seller lives in a Melbourne suburb called Mornington which is situated by the seaside on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. I live in Geelong, Victoria less than 100 kilometres away, on the other side of Port Phillip Bay. Therefore only a 90 minute drive. I'll call Carsales later today regarding the spam scenario. Should that possible situation fall on deaf ears, it will be time to go for a drive to Mornington. Cheers mate, Ron

Can't you send a telegram to the sellers address with your number..or get a Taxi driver to deliver it for you today!

Hi Ron, it could be time for desperate measures if the seller is in contact with other potential purchasers.
I would type up a letter, buy a express post envelope and deliver it to Maranello personally.
Ask them to address it and post it, if they are keeping his address to themselves.
That way you'll know he gets it next day.
Good luck, it does look like a beauty.

Good idea...I am surprised the garage have not called him on your behalf...something on the lines of ..."We understand you may be selling your car; we are aware of another customer who is very interested in purchasing it, would like his contact details?"

G'day Peter, Unfortunately the garage does not have the owner's phone number noted on its service records. Cheers mate, Ron

Ron that appears to be a golf course in the background of the shots provided. I'd go find which course that is and enquire that way. Otherwise I'd door knock the suburb. Take the photos with you, someone will have noticed it and point you in the right direction. Also try local restaurants, newsagents, or whomever you think could assist.

Hi Ron
I have just sent him a message asking him to contact me to either supply his number for me to pass on to "my friend who is looking for a GS" or to call me so I can provide him with my friends number.

PM me your number so if he does call I can give it to him for you.

cheers
