Go for it Lee...you won't regret it! I think the ZF Auto is a better proposition as a daily driver or one for the missus to use occasionally.

A ZF Auto QP is on my list for probably next year. Would love a 4.7 GTS but my budget won't be that high. I think a 4.2 Sport GT will do ;) Might keep the E55K for a year and then look at ditching for the QP next year.

That GTS at James Paul is lovely. I think the price is more than fair, especially given that this is a dealer sale, with a warranty and so on. These are usually nearer the £30k mark, depending on mileage. And of course, it's much prettier than the 4.7 version.

Agree with Ewan and good Sport GTS will command 25k all day long......The James Paul one would be on my list if I had the readies....Lovely combination.....Yes miles over 60k but as long as been well serviced and looked after I think they are spot on with the price....They are such a rare model that they will always command a premium over a standard car.

Is there a big difference between the Sport GT & Sport GTS?

Main difference is the suspension. 2007 Sport GT has Skyhook, which has 2 damping settings: wallowy and a bit odd in standard mode, firm and sporty in Sport mode. The 2007 GTS has single rate dampers.

You could order the 2007 Sport GT with either a Duo Select or ZF gearbox, whereas the 2007 GTS only came with the ZF. GTS as been used on subsequent 4.7s with more power, etc.

The brakes on the GTS are also completely different to those on other QP variants. The front seats are different too. But it's the way the car rides and handles that sets it apart from other QP's (not to mention the obvious visual differences such as the lowered ride height, colour coded door handles, black exhaust and window trims, alcantara interior inserts, carbon dash, smoke alloys etc.) Oh...I just remembered that the tyres are a size that's unique to the GTS as well.

Just read both reviews and some other info. Seems like a standard QP is say 5, a Sport GT is 7 and then a Sport GTS comes in at 10.

I can see why you have the GTS now Ewan. Good choice. Seems like the GTS is the way forward.

Not sure Phil will agree & is probably wishing you had kept the Silver QP at the moment!

Is yours the 4.2 or 4.7?

Either a cheaper £15k QP or go all out to a GTS seems to make sense to me. Not sure there is any point sitting in between as the price difference is not that great from one to the other.

Thanks....didn't read about that on this one. Can't believe there is no mention of it morphing from a 4.2 to a 4.7. Does the seller know I wonder?

It was in a garage in Stoke on Trent , Ferrari specialist who did the work , apparently to a high standard , money no object kind of thing, previous owner popped the 4.2 so upgraded it , as long as nothing has been bodged to get it to run it might be the best of both worlds, classic shape with 4.7 grunt.

The problem with buying modified cars is when something goes wrong and it's not standard so a bit of a minefield

Well priced 4.7 but shame about the interior for me.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201603212173286

That's a 4.2 pre face lift car..The 4.7 was never put into the preface lift cars.....The engine went bang so the owner replaced it with a 4.7. The work was done by an ex F1 mechanic who has a Ferrari specialist garage I believe. The car is advertised as a Sport GTS when it isn't......There are a couple of threads on here about the car. A member went to look at it and said the work has been done really well.....For me currently it looks too much money and although the engine is desirable I would buy the 4.2 at James Paul as that is a true Sport GTS and will be the more desirable car...

Didn't read all thread see Darren beat me to it.....

Lurking in the back of my mind are so many QP questions
Do I keep mine, which only wants the wheels dressing and it has the perfect interior for me (2007 Auto Exec GT)?
Or
upgrade to the desirable GTS
Finance questions go with this option
Or
investigate the GT
Finance questions and image problems go with this option
What to do what to do as Terry Wogan used to say

Is yours the 4.2 or 4.7?.

Mine is the 4.2, and while I like the grunt and growl of the 4.7, on looks alone I'll be sticking with my pre-facelift car.

And just for fun, a gratuitous shot of my 6.0lt Diablo!

Having owned both a Sport GT and a GTS as Ewan says they are night and day, on paper the differences are subtle but the driving experience is sooo much better with the GTS

Who is Ray ?
