I'll have to side with Hamster and Clarkson however distasteful that is. Why don't we do the same to the french who get caught for speeding in Britain? Why are they allowed to carry on their merry way whatever speed they get caught at? It's about time we did to them what they do us in the name of Europe and self interest.

On the spot fines from the French is nothing new, I got caught years ago and they took me to a cashpoint so I could get enough cash out to pay the fine.

That was when I learnt who my friends were as the rest of the Alfa convoy just drove off and left me, bar stewards!!!

Exactly. They've been OTS fining for years. Why has it taken so long for us not to do anything about it?

Hard to beat instant justice......especially for such an offence, at least they don't have hordes of CCTV cameras watching your every move and endless speed traps and average speed traps too.....how horrific

They did the same to me. Then they took my licence off me leaving me banned and stranded in a town square 90 miles west of Dunkirk. Bollox to the lot of them.

About 60 NE of Dieppe. 90 miles south west of Dunkirk is probably a more accurate position. It doesn't alter the fact they are t0ssers.

They don't need them, now that seemingly every town and village contains dozens of the nastiest speed bumps known to man.

thats why me thinks we should avoid as much of the country as poss on the trip, take our business else where.
