This has been annoying me for a long time, now it's sorted! I first replaced the broken rubber strap that holds the cap to the fuel door a while ago, and finally got a new door insert because that small holding tab was broken. Taking care of the details... (I don't count the seized AC compressor last week as a detail, but that's sorted too LOL).
Very easy replacement: I used a trim remover plastic pry tool in the small insert, and popped the 4 small clips one by one. I had to study the potential flying trajectories of the first one to find it 2 meters away and 3 minutes later, so I made sure the 3 other ones stayed put.
