400 miles? aka 640kms? never seen that on mine. I have done max 580 kms i think, but with 100km/h. If you want to drive fast (and in Germany you can), a tank is about 400-430kms, 265 miles .
It's doable if you are disciplined and lucky with traffic. I got this from my trip computer the other day (ICE mode, cruise control on, at 100kph for around 15km):
Of course the figure plummeted after I left the freeway and got stuck in traffic.
Best average I ever saw on the 4200 was....6.8 kms/litre...........thats a QP average Jinster aka your avatar....pretty good................do we have freeways in the UK........or is it the latest name for toll roads to confuse us.............?
I did a trip from Preston to London to Paris back to London then back to Preston covering 1200 miles at half term a couple of weeks ago.
The best full tank run that I got from the QP was 460 miles on one tank, it displayed it as 26.1 MPG. I was going out of my way to see how far I could get. The car was full loaded with Me & Mrs with three kids in the back.
I'm not typically to bothered about the MPG but was not "allowed" to go silly - apart from a brief 0-100 out of the M6 toll gates - but got a right bollocking for it!
I recon that the MPG has gone up a bit since the 4 wheel alignment and/or the Larni back boxes have been fitted.
Oo that is good, i am Going to try and be a good boy and see what i can get on the way to Germany ... i need to take it fairly easy anyhow as my old man drives like a granny! and he will be following me in his car as he doesnt know the way..
