G'day all,

Am toying with the idea of getting one of the above to save my knees/back a bit whilst working on the cars. Anyone any experience of particular brands/types?

These look useful:

or would this type be better?

Look safer but is access reduced??

This company make cheaper versions of the above:

This company also do a 'shorter' 2 post ramp for similar money:

Any thoughts/experiences?

Cheers

Oliver

Here is mine fantastic, cost about £1800 with the VAT delivered and folds flat on the floor:

When I had to get extra height to get a gearbox jack underneath I did this but I would not advise anyone to do this without taking adaquate safety precautions I ended up wrapping 2 7.5 tonne ratchet straps under the car then over the rafters....just in case!

Not sure I have the headroom in the garage. I could just take the floor of the bedroom out and lift straight into there but I think Mrs Z might complain.

I can vouch for Matt's lift, it also works for lifting Maserati engines out of vans!!!!

I have passed up many chances to get two or four post lifts in my garage over the years as once in they limit what you can do with the space, two post lifts for example prevent you from exiting the car via the door, particularly on big two door coupes like ours...

I currently have these beasties in the garden, takes a big pair of kahonas to drive up them in the Maserati!

Great stuff - thanks for that. Where did you source yours from?
