Hi all,

Reasonably new to Maserati ownership. My 4200 CC goes in the garage this weekend until Spring, any ideas on good quality (not too expensive) indoor covers, other storage tips?

I'll probably roll it out every 6 weeks or so.

Cheers

I use indoor covers from Specialised Covers. Not cheap (at approximately £290) but very good.IMG_1656.jpg

The original Maserati indoor cover is very good. Maybe worth checking out the price? There is always the slight possibility they are affordable!
Fortunately mine was in the boot (unexpectedly) when I bought the car.

At the risk of being sacrilegious I bought mine from Amazon for about £60. It's designed for a Granturismo including a vent at the front by the radiator and fits perfectly. It's made of a soft material and the seams are on the outside. I guess they'll do them for 4200s as well. You pays your money and takes your choice but it works fine for me.

How on earth can you put away at the end of August?
End of October before the salty roads if you must, but easily 2 months left!

bought one cover for 10£ on Ebay. Good quality material but of course does not fit perfectly as the original ones. It does the job for me

up till now I've been making do with an old outdoor cover for marci in the garage but do not want to go into winter with a waterproof cover on her indoors in case condensation becomes an issue. being a mean scot I also do not want to pay 300 for a maser cover so will give this a go at £50.........will not fit perfect I know and will not look as beautiful, but does not have to if it does the job.......

A good outdoor cover should actually breath and not produce condensation, which would be counter productive..!!

Furious, where are you based? I may have one available.

Excuse the tardy responses! I'm based in Bournemouth EvoEng and still after a cover (it's in the garage but has an outdoor cover on)

You're right Heathcote, another month in the driest September on record should have been a given! Oh well roll on Spring '15!

Which part of Bournemouth? I'm in the 'still above freezing' part aka Westbourne. There's a few 4200's/3200's knocking round here we could have a mini-mini meet by the McDonalds near Emblems and give the local boy-racers a lesson in... er... taste...:p

There are outdoor covers for £13 at Lidl at the moment. Not sure how good and think they do indoor too.

Garaged with a factory cover, that my good lady bought me. Car is not taken off the road, it will get driven at least every fortnight to keep everything moving.
