Why would you drive in ICE mode? That's for driving on ice and snow covered roads with poor traction levels?
Unless it now means something completely different.

Improved Control (and) Efficiency (I **** you not)

I've not actually used it in snow yet (forgot about it last year!) but it's OK for motorway cruising. Don't think it makes a load of difference, mind

I logged my fuel use on my Ghibli using a phone app. Looking at it over 50k miles I did anything from 17 to 30 mpg, from fill-to-fill, and averaged around 23.5 mpg over the course of ownership. That was mixed driving, with most of it short 10-15 mile trips.

That was a petrol S, rather than the base petrol, and imperial gallons rather than US.
I think my average through the Alps was 13mpg over about 1000 miles - never checked it since :D

My last trip into London and the wilds of Essex returned 26mpg. Last Leeds run. Croydon got me 31mpg. Leeds run got me 31+

I can easily get 28mpg out of my 96 Jaguar XJ6 4.0 with a very basic emissions system on it 245,000 kilometres done and running like a Swiss watch.

I.C.E. on the QP Auto means that it pulls away in 2nd and changes gear at 3K revs. Presumably to keep the torque down in I.C.E.y conditions!

Can't see what gear a Ghibli is in, unless you're in manual. Which rather obviates the ICE ;)

I hope it's better than Alfa's DNA A mode, it's almost undriveable!

Wait a minute... anyone notice that ... $10 dollars for 2.5 US Gallons... Doing the MathS that £1.19 per litre...crikey not as cheap as US any more. Still 30p cheaper that Unleaded in the UK

Short journeys in any car kills mpg, especially urban environment with stopping and pulling away. A good cruise on the motorway will give a better return.

And welcome to the forum @Beachlife1020
Just to clarify everyone...
"The British Imperial gallon is 4.54 L (160 fl oz), while the US Customary gallon is 3.78 L (128 fl oz)."
So, mpg in the US will appear worse as a direct comparison 11.125L v 9.45L
