Was under the car waxoiling the brake pipes etc. Noticed I could see the clutch pressure plate, is this normal, or am I missing a cover?

Not sure, I would have thought I would notice something so strange.

On the subject of brake pipes, you know the metal ones which run the whole length of the car, well mine are pretty corroded, anyone ever replaced their? Also waxoyl interested me at one point but after talking to someone about the process I was told if the rot has set in you are just sealing that and it's really worthwhile doing it on a new car etc...

My brake pipes were all shot on the Spyder, some work had to be done by Emblem to rectify.

They are actually very inexpensive check the fuel union and lines too.

I prefer Terotex 350 to Waxoyl. it last longer and is easier to work with. I have sprayed the whole underside of my car and all the cavities front rear wings and sill covers, to try and hold back the inevitable on a 13 year old car!

I must admit when under mine I was quite impressed with how it was holding up after 15 years, looked pretty clean underneath really. The brake lines need doing though so will get that done soon.
