Hi,
I need a set of Mercury wheel caps. Are they to price or are they of value? I will need to pay freight to Australia. Would Eurospares be a cheaper option and save VAT?

Guys, no idea what price they are normally........I suggest if you are interested in a set, do let the forum know so we don't all bid on them at once!!!!

F2....do look on the eurospares site.....plus you'd need to check what they charge for postage!

I need a new set of these too so I checked before bidding. It is a rather confusing picture. The vendor lists the centre caps as fitting the QP and the 4200 Gransport but these are different Maserati part numbers. A set of four OEM, part no. 244027 New Maserati Quattroporte RIM CUP "Tridente" Silver (for a 2008 QP 4.2 GTS) from Eurospares comes to £32.94 including the VAT and the £3.95 UK postage (Royal Mail signed for). Not clear if these Ebay parts really are for a QP and if they are why there was a buy it now price before bidding began of £63 and it is currently bid to £51.00 plus £7.00 postage (Royal Mail 2nd Class Standard).

However the wheel centres (part 206172 or 209970) for the 4200 Gransport are more expensive and are either £9.06 each or £12.59 each plus VAT etc . That is either £47.44 or £64.38 for four with the VAT and postage so bidding to what is now £58.00 makes sense only if the cap is the most expensive variant. So it pays to double check - Eurospares very kindly emailed me a photo of the part on their shelf in order to do so.

Lastly take care on the colour description - on Eurospares the colour reference, i.e. silver or mercury refers to the colour of the Trident not to the background of the badge

Either way this Ebay vendor isn't really offering a "steal" - but its taken me a good while to work this all out!
