Now...you could be right...even though I think Geoff is after a different colour that price!!!

At that price I am interested.
However, buying the Merc means cash won't quite be there for a few weeks.
Might be a Christmas present to myself if still available though.

Funnily enough, me and the missus spoke about going to Belfast for a few days before Christmas!

Get in there and snap it up, it will take a week or three to arrange collection but at that price it must be worth it.

Can't do anything until I know when the cash will be coming in.

I'd guess at the week before Christmas. But you can't guarantee it until it is in the bank.

It surely won't stick around for long, there are plenty of lurkers of this forum waiting for spring into action and take our collective advice and may well be buying it as I type!

Ideally (from my point of view) we'll have that huge dumping of snow that some papers are saying we'll get, then very few will want to buy a 400bhp rwd Italian prima dona.
Leaving it for me to pick up for a steal when money is in the bank!

In reality someone will probably pick it up tomorrow.

More like the there will be a dusting of snow akin to icing sugar on one of the high fells in the UK. Each TV network will dispatch 100's of staff to cover the event. People in London will think it's the apocalypse and stay at home in fear....then it will rain and all attention will move to some minor celebs near brush with death when they almost fell over their ego.

What is it with the very word of snow that makes people go silly?

Allan, I am not sure it is laziness; more likely it us based on experience. I suspect we have all spoken to a dealer over the years and been told the car is A1 etc, only to turn up and find it not as described. Fine if you have just popped up the road, less if you have flown to Belfast/driven 4 hours to Scotland.

When I bought mine I drove from Ayr to Birmingham to view two "immaculate" cars; one was, the other was a total dog. If I had driven down just to view the dog I would have been mightily pi55ed off.

Many years ago a friend of mine was looking to buy a Ferrari Dino.
He had twice driven up to 12 hours from the North of Scotland to look at cars which bore no resemblance to their description and was rapidly running out of patience.
On car number 3 on being told it was immaculate he said to the seller he was fed wasting his time and money looking at rubbish and that if he turned up and looked at it and it wasn't as described he would punch him in the face.
He then asked the seller "do you still want me to come and look at the car?"
After a few seconds the seller said "yes" and he travelled and sure enough car was as described.

Creative photography I call it. Most people are better at taking photos than looking after a car I've decided over the years.

Indeed, but did he buy it?!
Yes he did!
He half expected to be met with half a dozen heavies when he turned up at the door but the guy was really nice and car was honest.
He kept it a long time and sold it a couple of years ago when he swapped for a 360 and a 348.
Given prices now I bet he wishes he held onto it a bit longer.

You snooze you lose, have to act quickly on a good car! Shows there is a good market for cars which are priced right.
