Anyone else going along this weekend?

I will be there with Charlotte, both dressed in period [1950's] along with her folks.

Sadly the forcast is not too bright.

I'll probably be there on Friday, but will leave the beastie in the warm.

My contribution to the 'period' theme will be my anatomy, though it probably wouldn't be wise to flaunt it; we don't want ladies swooning all over the place do we?

Just the Friday for us to...her folks now have a cold so if they bottle out I may have two spare tickets with grandstand pass too...will keep the forum in mind.

Shame the Maserati won't be there Phil as its a double of my first.

A flavour of Revival yesterday. The weather was a bit mucky, but luckily the rain held off for most of the day; still a briiliant outing though.

Yes a great day out and we were lucky to avoid the lunch time rain...but bugger was the food pricey! Paid £23 for fish and chips and a filled Yorkshire pud...which were very poor quality...your far better off buying a burger and chips or getting a butty from the Tesco.

Good days practice, with a couple of off's with one car getting a real thump sadly.

Will be there for the whole weekend next year.

My burger was good Peter, albeit at a fiver, so was the coffee, and having seen the queues at Tesco decided to give it a miss.

Spirited driving always has its risks, although it always seems more painful when historics are crunched. Had a brief chat with Derek Bell, what a nice man.

Turns out I could have had free tickets for Sunday, courtesy of one of our clients.
Already drifting though :(

What was the jet plane that was doing the rounds, it was not the Eurofighter. I wasn't there but the begger kept dusting us in SportsMaserati world Headquarters just down the road.

I did look out the window expecting it to be Benny showing off in his Thomson's Airbus but alas I could not see it.

If it looked like this Matt it was an English Electric Canberra; like just about everything else I worked on it's now a historic/museum piece, at least in the UK. Apologies for the lousy image, the weather wasn't good for snapping flying machines.

One of the nicest cars on the day was a Lancia Flaminia Zagato which was heading west on the A27 as I was leaving. It had gorgeous lines, was in lovely condition, and carried Italian plates.

Phil, did the Alfa have its roof down? I saw a poor couple in an old Alfa taking shelter in a garage as the rain was dreadful

Thank you kind sir. I have an ageing Minolta 7i and then use a simple edit programme to compensate for my lack of ability; it's a bit of a cheat but that's the beauty of digital. I always had Minolta film SLRs and stayed with the breed for digi, Canon is looking attractive now though and it would be nice to update.

Peter, the car was a Lancia (double-bubble roof à la RCZ), although we saw plenty of top-down convertibles getting drenched.

Yes, that was the blighter! I caught a glimpse expecting to see a delta wing and was amazed to see a standard cross silhouette in the sky.

When I lived in Lancashire near Preston there was half a dozen of these at Salmsbury Airfield belonging to Argentina...sent them to be upgraded and went into the Falklands before they were finished...so we kept them and I think broke them for scrap after 10 or so years.

PPP on their part for sure...could have made a significant hit on the fleet before they were any where near the islands
