Congrats bar. 599 is too curvy for my, but it's looks stunning. Give us some feedback, but mainly some audio stuff of the V12.
Also...the GS should go to a good home. she looks fabulous.

Congrats on your new toy. Looks completly awesome. I work in town and see / admire a black one driving through covent garden at least once a week on his commute to work I assume.

Just in case we all thought this story has ended happily... it will when the Gransport is back with me on Monday!

It went something like this - the 599 had an intermittent airbag warning light issue. But I discovered (Ferrari owners web site actually useful) that the issue had been unsolved after five dealer visits in the preceding ten months. Car spent three weeks with local dealer to try and fix this issue - but on return the airbag light immediately reappeared - oh and I since further discovered that the nero-daytona paint covering most of the car had not been used on the right lower sill panel (close - but not Ferrari paint). The repair is on the same side as the airbag warning. And yes this was sold as Ferrari Approved - no inspection required sir, car is little used and original.

So whole deal reversed and Gransport coming back. I am, as you may imagine, just a little bit annoyed at the way this went and am interested in any thoughts on an appropriate further response to the dealers involved (three altogether) and to the manufacturer?

Hope you get this sorted soon! Doesn't do a lot for the reputation of car dealers does it?......

Oh dear what a shame...how come they still had your GS?!
I agreed to allow them time to try and diagnose and cure airbag issue. They had already offered to reverse deal before that so they held the Gransport pending resolution (which never came, and then I noticed the dodgy repair!)

I think the dealers have lost the plot - they don't appear to "know" cars anymore... they are just bundles of cash to them. The 599 market has gone up a lot this year (a manual car sold for a mad price like £450K) and I feel the dealer is more than happy to turn this car around for significantly more than I paid (they might even bother to have it repaired?)

Wow what a u turn, sorry to hear. Porsche Agnew in Belfast apparently sold a 911 "only 40,000 miles" later found to be clocked from "88,000"

Sorry to hear, but sounds like a blessing in disguise.

Never nice inheriting somebody else's problems, which this seems to be.

Can imagine your disappointment though. Lovely car the 599.

Feel sorry for the next customer to buy the lemon.

Sorry to read that update. If it's the car I think it was from the dealer I think it was then I'm more than a bit surprised. I suppose the upside is that they did the decent thing but even so, you'd expect better.

Are you on the lookout for another one?

At least you are getting your lovely car back and hopefully it is in identical condition to when you dropped it off.

Yes surprising - but it appears to me that when a marque achieves a certain market value it stops being treated like a car and starts being treated like an investment. The attitude in the sales teams is shockingly arrogant and the competence of the servicing teams highly questionable. Bear in mind three UK dealers were participants in this airbag fiasco.

As for another try... if you check the market there is not much available now (if you want an HGTE) so it will be end of year at earliest.

Didn't want to leave this thread on a sour note...
so I went out and found another one (V12 that is) and thought I would tempt fate by admitting it here.
