Well similar jump between the 4200 and the GS, about £10k.

I guess in both cases if the extra ten is within reach it would be sencible to get the newer/improved car...if not then its budget Maser [if there is such a thing].

Cor, I dont half like that colour - very classy! Not sure about the interior, its certainly distinctive, but I love the exterior/wheel combo. Nice to see one used properly too, which is certainly becoming more common.

There are low miles GT for 50k ....... Think I would prefer the higher miles GT S....

I agree. I have been watching GT prices for a while and they seem to be hovering around the £40k mark for early examples. An extra £10k for a GTS MC seems good value even with 40k miles.

After driving both the GT S is such a big leap forward........Its the car the GT should have been....................Thats not to say the GT is not a great car mind.

Nice car. There was another GTS at 49,995 just after Xmas, again the mileage was similar to this one.

The cheaper GTs's for sale, £55-58k seem to have about 20k mikes on them so I think at 49k this car is priced accordingly.

TBH, there has been very little movement in the 6 months I have had mine, cars that were trading at £59,985-£62,500 are still at £57,500-£60k

Having only 10,300 on my car, and 6 months Trident, still feel my car is worth more than I paid for it.

Agree Matt...not much movement in price with only higher miles making them dip.....

Has to be 4.7 for me!!

Heard a few and drove one 4.2 and it never thrilled!
Prefer mine than 40k on a GT no offence anyone....just saying i like the GTS more

Mind you residuals are good on the Granturismo. A 3.5 year old GTS with some miles pulling in over 50% of list - few cars are that good.

I think the build quality has jumped a level hence they are keeping their value

My friends brother with the GT has traded it in for a new 6 series, when i asked him why he said the build quality was bad and was not as good a tourer as he liked!!

I can see his point, while quality has improved they are still not german standards but hopefully they will improve some more

I drove the GT and the GT S and for me the S was the better car, breaking, performance etc. The GT left me feeling flat and would have ended up making modifications to get it to where I wanted, but the price difference was alot.

I had a BMW Alpina B3 before buying the GTS and I would have to the say the electronic etc on the BMW was much better, is was a 2003 model and had more advanced electronics. I did test drive the new 3,5,6 series and Alpina variants but have to say whilst the performance was good, they just did not inspire me. The gizmo's on the new 6 series is unbelievable and the ride etc was very good but it just looks like an old mans car in the new shape.

Soon as i drove the GTS my mind was made up but agree they really need to step up a gear again on the electronic as still 5 years behind the Germans, An example is the problem with the parking sensors, on my BMW near went wrong once in 5 years, I'm also not convinced they actually know what they are doing with the firewarm updates either to solve issues with sat nav and ipod issues. On my 2010 Maserati, I have already had the front sensor replaced and noticed yesterday that they have failed again, not good on a car for that price.

Saying that though, soon as I start her up I just seem to accept the problems and just love driving it.
